About the Author

The journey of my education spanned over 20 years. During incarceration, I started the Life Skills Program, created Drug Programs, and became a part of all the prison educational programs. I also started my college career during incarceration and continued it after being free.
During incarceration, I indulged in all kinds of educational programs offered for the betterment of prisoners. In my book, I have written about them to share my journey with my readers.
I started mentoring youth from juvenile hall and volunteered at the food banks and the post office because serving humanity gives me endless joy.
Writing about my incarceration has been an enlightening experience and helped me to reflect on my life’s struggles and highlights how I overcame all odds with sheer grit and determination. If my book can help people going through hard times in any way, all the hard work will be worth it.
This book is based on actual events of my life’s ups and downs, and I intend to give hope to young people that no matter the odds stacked against them, compassion, sheer grit, and hard work will uplift and save them.
I'm proud to be an author, a single dad, and a free, happy man full of life, joy, liberty, and freedom.
