About the Author

David Gross was born in 1954 near Austin, Indiana, to Bradley and Josephine Gross. Bradley Gross, a Korean War veteran, is the hero of The Most Important Thing. David and his two brothers, Mike and Dennis, spent their youth playing basketball, riding bikes, camping, and swapping stories in rustic Indiana. David is a proud and honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force. The Most Important Thing salutes the Korean veterans and all who have shared the military experience. David has four children: Sebrena, Julian, Will, and Kayleigh.
