About the Author

Alana "Peaches" Aragon mostly pursues writing for fun, but does have a few published pieces in small
journals (research and poetry, primarily). Originally from New Mexico, but with a very nomadic soul, she takes inspiration from the beauty of the people and places that have impacted her life. Her writing often includes themes of nature, emotion, and culture. She hopes to continue publishing and sharing her work with larger audiences.

Ellen Kaufman was born and raised in Colorado as the daughter of Jewish-Belarusian immigrants. Her work often deals with the relationship between culture, family, and oneself--with a focus on women. Through the use of dynamic, expressive brushstrokes, organic forms, and a wide range of color, her work aims to create lively portraiture of subjects both human and not. All images in this book were originally watercolors created by Ellen. You can check out more of her original work on her Instagram (@ellenrivaart) or on her website.
