Overview

This book explains the "hard problem" of the co-existence of minds and bodies, and then relies upon the work of Russell and Whitehead to resolve that problem. I came to this solution under the tutelage of my advisor in philosophy of science, Grover Maxwell, 40 years ago. This has given me time to "live with the solution" and let it "percolate." In that time, I have observed only reinforcement of the validity of the solution and the crying need for it in today's society. It's written for the layman and professional alike.

About the Author

I became obsessed with the mind-body problem during my undergraduate years at Macalester College, when I read Whitehead's Science and the Modern World. After two years of seclusion and private research, I came under the influence of Grover Maxwell in graduate studies at the University of Minnesota. Not yet ready to write the thesis, I took up a career in electronics and computer graphics. I took early retirement in order to write this book. Once published, it served as a reliable basis for further developments in physics, further corroborating its validity.
