Overview

Though a rather tired rap tune featuring Master P and Silkk the Shocker is stapled on to the beginning of the album, this is in fact a spoken word, comedy record. And what words they are! Griffin gives new meaning to "playing it blue," comparing women's genitalia to an ATM machine and schooling about the equation of racial penis sizes to women's financial freedom. Recorded at the Punchline in San Francisco, the album is often quite funny. But in the end, Griffin's shctick is rather mean spirited, as when he informs the whites in the audience that they get a free "Nigga Card" for attending the evening's performance. This tired "you know what's funny about whitey/you know what's funny about niggas" bit was insightful when Richard Pryor did it some 20 years ago, but it seems like back-peddling here. ~ Tim Sheridan
