About the Author

Giacomo Girolamo Casanova de Seingalt (1725-1798) was an Italian adventurer and notorious womanizer. Born in Venice, Casanova's father died when he was just eight; he was cared for by his grandmother but he soon found himself at boarding school. At a young age Casanova first encountered the opposite sex, and its pursuit became a lifelong calling.
