About the Author

Mary Lee Peck earned her Ph.D. in Education from The Ohio State University. She has taught at all levels from preschool to graduate school. She is the author of The Mansion, Breakfast With Friends, Raven's Call, and Raven's Son. She has also authored several children’s books and a college textbook in reading instruction.

The Mansion was inspired by life in the small town where she was born and where her grandparents actually owned a small store. In each of her books, she creates strong, memorable characters that linger in the memories of readers long after the story has finished. Her vivid descriptions enable the reader to visualize the settings as if they were actually there.
