About the Author

• Writer, director, and producer Joseph Strickland is married to the songwriter, casting director, and author Cat Ellington. The couple lives in Chicago with their three children Nathaniel, Nairobi, Naras, and a pet Pomeranian named Aspen. He loves drawing and oil painting, watching classic movies, and reading some of his favorite authors.

B.J. Patterson, who started in journalism writing editorials and articles for local newspapers, is a writer whose focus is on the disenfranchised, community involvement, and entertainment. Patterson, the founder, and owner, of CompositionPlus, is also a published author, playwright, producer, and theater reviewer. She lives in Chicago.

• With careers spanning music, movies, art, and literature, Cat Ellington—dubbed The Hardest-Working Woman in the Arts—is also the author of the Reviews by Cat Ellington book series. She enjoys reading, writing, music, wine, coffee, collecting charm bracelets, and watching Lifetime Movies. Cat Ellington lives in Chicago with her husband and fellow author Joseph Strickland, their three children Nathaniel, Nairobi, Naras, and the family's pet Pomeranian, Aspen.
