About the Author

Dirk Holstege is the leading graphic humorist of Parkinson's Disease symptoms. Mostly because no one else would even consider drawing humorous cartoons about a serious illness like Parkinson's Disease. Diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2015, he was relieved to learn there was a medical reason why he couldn't paddle board for more than five seconds without falling off the board. He has since done extensive research for this book, including exhibiting many of the major symptoms, taking handfuls of pills daily, taking up boxing to fight the disease, and recently, undergoing gene therapy as part of a clinical research trial.

He lives in Sacramento, California.
