About the Author

Stephen Kendrick is best known as a screenwriter and movie producer (Facing the Giants, Fireproof, Courageous) along with having co-wrote the New York Times best sellers The Resolution for Men and The Love Dare with his brother, Alex. Stephen and his wife, Jill, have six children, and he serves as senior associate pastor of preaching and prayer at Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia. 
 
 
Alex Kendrick is best known as an actor, writer, and director whose film credits include Facing the Giants, Fireproof, and Courageous. He and his wife, Christina, have six children.  He also serves as associate pastor of movie outreach for Sherwood Baptist Church.

Though narrator Adam Verner sounds casual during large segments of this audio on parenting, his delivery frequently uses a breathy sort of intensity that works with the fervent prayers. But during other parts, some listeners will wonder if he’s getting ready to deliver an earth-shattering secret of some kind. It’s a distracting feature of a performance that is expertly phrased and lovely in terms clarity and voice quality. The authors dare listeners to implement, a day at a time, 40 timeless principles, such as “love listens” or “love takes responsibility.” Supported by many Bible verses, these principles remind parents of how powerful devotion to God can be and how important it is for them to pour their hearts into their “precious, irreplaceable relationships” with their children.
