About the Author

Alex Ayliffe is a bestselling, award-winning writer and artist. Her distinctive papercut illustrations are bright and bold with lots of childappeal. Alex has illustrated many books for children and won the Sainsbury's Best Book for Babies award and the Children's Book of the Year Award at the Christian Booksellers Convention. She is the illustratorof My Very First Bible, My Very First Prayers, TheEaster Story and The Good Samaritan, and many more Lion Children's books. She has travelled extensively in Europe, Africa, and Australia.

Estelle Corke has a degree in Graphic Design from Bath College of HigherEducation 1992. She works as a freelance illustrator for advertising agencies, packaging and magazine publishers, and can illustrate in all types of media, but since 2001 has concentrated on children's book illustration, using a rich, painterly style with gouache paints.
