Overview

George is nearly 70 years old. He is walking over 2,000 miles across the western U.S. to visit a dying friend. The author encounters George on an interstate highway and gives him a ride and a place to sleep for the night. The author learns the compelling story of George's life, marriage, loss of wife and child in an auto accident, and the great lesson of forgiveness that confronts all of us.

Later, he added a Graduate Certificate in Public Administration from Willamette University, Salem, Oregon.Brent worked for a U.S. Congressman in Washington, D.C. for four years covering agriculture and natural resource issues.
