During the early part of the twentieth century, The Little Colonel series was the most popular series for children. The first in the series of books about Lloyd Sherman, "The Little Colonel". First published in 1895, this often requested reprint is also memorable as the basis for the 1935 motion picture of the same title starring Shirley Temple and Lionel Barrymore.
