was Scottish author, poet and Christian minister. He was a pioneering figure in the field of modern fantasy literature. He was the mentor and of great influence on Lewis Carroll, C.S. Lewis, and J.R.R. Tolkein. In addition to his fairy tales, MacDonald wrote several works of Christian theology.
