The third and fourth books are a part of a series that features Tennessee defense lawyer AJ Garrison. It takes are set in the late 1960s, while the Vietnam war was still the lead story on the nightly news.

The fifth and sixth books are collections of Peterson's Christmas short stories. Two of the stories in book 1 feature James Early, and one of the stories in book 2 features AJ Garrison.

The seventh book, a thriller, is the first in Peterson's new John Wads Crime Novellas series.

Later this year, he will bring out three more books, a mainstream novel, "The Last Good Man"; a crime novel set in the era of Prohibition, "Capitol Crimes"; and a second mainstream novel, "Rooster's Story".

Before Peterson became a writer, he taught speech, English, and theater in Wisconsin high schools, then worked in communications for farm organizations for a decade in Wisconsin, Michigan, Kansas, and Colorado.
