Overview

When little Rosemary finds a beautiful, magical flower hidden away in her grandmother’s dresser, she sets out to explore the woods near her home to find another like it. What she finds instead is Meriandor the Elf. Meriandor is stranded here on earth and needs Rosemary’s help to get back to Elvenhome in the stars where his family lives. Rosemary is sort of stranded, too. Her parents are getting a divorce and she has decided to stay at her grandparents’ house, instead of going home. The Last Elf is the story of how Rosemary and Meriandor become good friends and help each other to get back to where they each belong.

About the Author

Penny’s love of fantasy started when she read The Little Lame Prince and The Adventures of a Brownie when she was a little girl. This love never waned and writing about elves and myths and magic just came naturally.
Penny Clover Petersen grew up in Washington DC area with four sisters and one brother. She lives with her husband, Tom, in Bowie Maryland. In addition to writing, she enjoys time with her children, grandchildren and large extended family. She likes to travel when she can, refurbish old furniture, and collect family stories and recipes for the 'family cookbook.' She loves historic homes and is a docent at Riversdale Mansion in Riverdale, MD.
