Overview

American Adam Salton is contacted by his great uncle in England, who is trying to re-establish a relationship between the last two members of the family. Abraham "Bram" Stoker (1847-1912) was an Irish novelist and short story writer, best known today for his 1897 Gothic novel DRACULA. A sickly child, Stoker was bedridden until the age of seven. Stoker achieved moderate success as a theater critic for a Dublin newspaper, then moved to London in 1879 to manage the Lyceum Theatre, a position he held for 27 years, during which time Stoker composed his most famous works, including DRACULA.
