About the Author

Frances Little (1863–1941), born Fannie Caldwell, was an American author. Her debut novel, The Lady of the Decoration, is her best-known and most successful work. She wrote a number of other novels, including Little Sister Snow, The Lady and Sada San, and House of the Misty Star. Caldwell is buried in Louisville, Kentucky.
