Overview

Clinically depressed Owen Phillips escapes his miserable life in London by moving into a converted chapel in an isolated village in Norfolk, where he falls in love with a mummified woman, who he discovers in a burial vault beneath his living room.

Set in the village of Ingshall, five years after the events of Sarah's Church, this is the second story to feature the characters of Kern, Kerri, and Mary the Medium.
