Overview

Jackie Quinlan loves being an architect, but she does not love her current situation professionally or personally. So when she gets a call from her unpredictable Aunt Rose and her wife, Mel, with a proposition to use her building and design skills in their sleepy little town of Carrick, South Carolina, she can't say no--maybe she should have.

Claire Ramsey loves her life. After being away for years, she followed her heart and returned to her hometown, even though nothing ever happens in Carrick. That is until she meets Rose's reticent niece. Their meeting is that of legends, or court jesters. No matter. Claire is quickly smitten with the younger Quinlan.
