Overview

In the Kearan Universe few qualities are more treasured than valor, honor, and loyalty. These values are often so easy to profess and claim. But when real disaster strikes and tremendous dangers stand as obstacles to everyone's hopes and dreams, living these values is easier said than done. Few have the true hero's dedication and faithfully rise to the occasion. In Keara, these brave nobles are the illustrious Knights. The surprise invasion of their grand home, Knights Berg, has left the town completely devastated, and the jewel of Knights Berg, its people, captured as prisoners. The Kearan Knights must courageously face mounting adversity after adversity from their antagonizing nemesis, Morro, if they are going to restore their home.

The Knights are committed to rescuing their townsmen from captivity in the labyrinth of Magma Mountain. Yet, there are epic conflicts at every turn from the Peach Beast to the warring Fox Tribe armies. Each encounter, more dangerous than the last, diverts from their goal. But once each Knight is united with a valiant dragon, the adventure builds a bond of friendship as epic as the ultimate battle.

The Knights Book launches a story of the courage of the youth to take on the forces of greed and selfishness that threaten what is most valuable: love, community, and friendship.

About the Author

Ryder Lewis was born in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States and started his journey as an author at the age of eight. By 2022, he had completed his first book, The Knights Book, at 10 years old. Nothing fascinates him more than conveying his imagination into the minds of children and adults alike. Creative writing is something of a passion for the young author and he hopes to entertain it as a long-lasting career.

"I draw story elements from my experiences and the people around me and incorporate them into my stories. It's like a spark of reality that I instantly see in the world of fantasy."

Ryder doesn't want to be known as just a fantasy author. He is expanding his fantasy collection but is also developing realistic fiction and aiming for other genres like mystery and historical fiction. Some of his favorite works include the I SURVIVED series by Lauren Tarshis, anything J.K. Rowling, and, of course, dragons.
