About the Author

Maia’s parents were adventurous and made the decision to immigrate to the U.S. when she was a teenager. They moved to Southern California, and Maia has lived there ever since, well, except when she moved away a few times for college.

When she finally found the courage to pursue her passion for writing, she left her job as a tax and accounting Professor at the university. To feed the creative part of her brain, she writes paranormal and fantasy romance novels under M.J. Penn.
