The Joys of Quilting : Easy Quilting Techniques for the Avid Quilter

"The Joys Of Quilting" is a text that is written by an author who has truly learned the joys of doing this hobby from her grandmother. It may be fast becoming a lost art in some circles but it is making its resurgence in some parts of the world.
A quilt is something that can demonstrate love in so many ways. It may be the love of a significant other, a child or a friend. It can even be made to show bits of family history. Some quilts are made for other purposes like to support a worthy cause such as the fight against cancer or AIDS. No matter what the reason, a quilt is never ever just putting something together for the sake of it.
Through the text the author not only gives a bit of history on the process of quilting but also makes every effort to convey some of the time honored techniques that are used even today. The text is insightful and educational and would serve well in any household that loves hobbies.
In fact anyone that has an interest in quilting should have a copy of this text. It is not as complex as some of the other texts are and works well to convey a bit more than the basics.

About the Author

Joanna Campbell is one of those persons that can attest to learning and keeping a family tradition growing. From an early age she learned the art of quilting from her grandmother who lived close by.

She was happy to spend her free time with her grandma not only learning the history but also the joy that one could get out of quilting.

Through quilting she was able to preserve a lot of memories and make quite a number of memorable quilts for her family and friends. She not only passed the skill off to her own children but created a text that would help others that had an interest in learning more about quilting.

Quilting is much more than a hobby for her and the reader can get that through her various books on quilting. It is a passion that was fueled by an innocent curiosity and a doting grandmother.
