From early childhood through young adulthood, the young narrator paints the saddest picture of the crucial moments that cause the end of his parents’ marriage. With plain sincerity, the narrator describes the schools he attended, his choice of college and universities, arts and artists, painting, music, and elite institutions. Given the almost heartbreaking incidents and irreconcilable differences the narrator’s parents face, we expect that a divorce will surely happen. And it does. However, what impedes the conclusion of the divorce is a rare clause in a prenuptial agreement that affects the division of assets and all properties.
