Overview

It was the end of the world. We just didn't know it yet.

My name is Rob, or at least it used to be. I don't know if we have names anymore. Not after the itch. This is the story of how it all happened, how this whole mess started. The usual stuff got us here: betrayal, greed, looking the other way when we should have been asking the tough questions instead...

Is that not enough? Fine. I'll take you through those last, terrible hours. Who knows. Maybe you'll be the one who can save us from this nightmare.

The Itch is a gritty zombie point-of-view story which details the viral outbreak that threatens humanity. This short story provides an engaging front row seat to the end of the world.

Are you ready for the Zombie Apocalypse?

About the Author

I first began writing in elementary school, and I LOVED it! “The Lion and the Turtle” was my first story and was ‘published’ on Ms. Shupe’s 1st grade bulletin board just outside the classroom for the entire school to read! I dabbled with words for years and later joined the Clearfield High School Journalism team and several Creative Writing electives. My crowning achievement was that I wrote silly articles for the school paper.
After joining the Air Force, I was asked to write an article for the Hilltop Times detailing the operation of the mystical Nitrogen Recharger: a device which created ominous clouds and drew confused stares from onlookers around Hill Air Force Base.

My short stories often focus on the human condition. “The Boy in the Window” was featured in a print compilation entitled, “Inspirational Thoughts and Stories of Bloggers from All Over the World.”
My current novel project, Freneticus Falls, is a Young Adult series following Yarn Phoenix, just another kid inventor living in a top secret town filled with the brightest minds and best secret agents the world has ever known. With his secret agent mom, his mad scientist dad, and some pretty cool friends, he sets out on a mind-blowing adventure that leads to the hardest decision of his life.
I grew up in the small town of West Point, Utah and married my high school sweetheart, Tara. After joining the military in 1999, we up and moved to Alaska for four years and have enjoyed traveling the world ever since. I honorably served in the United States Air Force for six years and recently obtained my Master’s of Science in Information Security and Assurance from Western Governors University. We now live in a small town in Northern Texas.
