About the Author

Trent Dee Stephens has BSs in Microbiology and Zoology, and MS in Zoology from BYU. He earned a PhD in Anatomy from the University of Pennsylvania and a postdoc in Pediatrics at the University of Washington. He has taught Anatomy and Developmental Biology at Idaho State University for forty years. Stephens' research is normal and abnormal biological form, including birth defects. He has published approximately one hundred papers and books. He has served in numerous Church callings, including bishop in a home ward and bishop in a university ward. He and his wife serve as temple workers in the Idaho Falls Temple.
