Overview

The House takes place in Pinal del Rio, Cuba, in the year 1982. The book is loosely based on my childhood. All the characters are chimeras of all the people I met during my early childhood. The best books are created when the author draws from her life experiences.
My house was pretty old, and pretty creepy, even by old house standards. Aside from the creepy house, I had to deal with a band of stray dogs that would attack me on my way to school.
I hope you have fun reading about the ups and downs of the Mason family, as they struggle to create a home for their two small children.
