About the Author

Maureen Chadsey grew up in Vermont and graduated from Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Married after college, she became a stay-at-home mother until circumstances changed that lifestyle. She began a series of jobs, mainly in customer service, until retirement when she moved back to Vermont. The Hollyhocks Will Bloom Again is her first novel imagining the struggles her great grandmothers had to endure being forced to move to Canada and leave the homes they had established in America because their families had favored the losing side in the Revolutionary War.
