This book is the third book in the series "The Historical Schipperke".  This book covers the Schipperke in North America, but it is important to note, it is Part 1 of 2 books on this topic.

The Historical Schipperke: The Schipperke in North America, Vol III, Part 1.

This book is a collection of early original documents about the breed of dog, the Schipperke. If you really want to understand this breed in depth, you need this book.  Learn about the earliest Schipperkes in the US and Canada, about the breeders who imported them.  Read about what was happening to the breed in this country as it was happening.

This book is Part 1 of 2 - making it the third book in a series of 4 books that covers the history of the Schipperke from Belgium to France to Great Britain to the United States and Canada.  These books will not tell you what you should believe about the Schipperke, they will let you read all of the history so you can decide for yourself!

Read for enjoyment, read for education, read as a reference guide!

About the Author

Dawn Bannister, and later her husband Craig, have loved, owned, bred, and shown Schipperkes for over 30 years and have completed more than 50 championships with AKC with their Schipperkes; and overseas their Schipperkes have achieved top wins as well. These collections comprise more than 25 years of research and collecting historical information about the breed, and careful translating, sorting, cataloging and tracking sources for the treasures they found. Between the four books, there are more than 1300 pages of history on the breed.

Dawn Bannister is also the editor for the online magazine SchipTales International, and there are nearly 5 years worth of quarterly stories, history, and information of the breed in each one of those.
