Overview

This book is Part 2 of the Schipperke in North America - it is the last book of four in "The Historical Schipperke" series. These books are different from other history books about the breed out there.... those books tell stories and tell you what to believe, these books let you read their history for yourself.

This book contains the later breeder columns written by Isabel Ormiston, magazine articles, newspaper articles, and a few odds and ends collected in the breed that didn't easily fill in elsewhere.

About the Author

Dawn Bannister, and later her husband Craig, have loved, owned, bred, and shown Schipperkes for over 30 years and have completed more than 50 championships with AKC with their Schipperkes; and overseas their Schipperkes have achieved top wins as well. These collections comprise more than 25 years of research and collecting historical information about the breed, and careful translating, sorting, cataloging and tracking sources for the treasures they found. Between the four books, there are more than 1300 pages of history on the breed.

Dawn Bannister is also the editor for the online magazine SchipTales International, and there are nearly 5 years worth of quarterly stories, history, and information of the breed in each one of those.
