About the Author

After retiring in 2007, following 35 years of teaching middle school language arts and reading, Mark decided that his lifelong dream of being able to write stories regularly, and to become serious about being a writer, could now be a reality.

Mark’s first novel--BLACK WOLF LODGE--was published in 2010, and two short stories—“Hobo Willie" and "Pinewood Farm”—were published in 2013. All are available as Kindle editions.

Mark and wife Carolyn call a small town in northern Illinois home during the winter and the Sister Lakes region of southwest Michigan during the summer.
