LAWRENCE B. SLOBODY, M.D. is the former President of the New York Medical College and was instrumental in the early development of the field of geriatrics. At 85 years of age, he remains active in medical societies in Massachusetts.

DAVID OLIPHANT is the co-founder and former president of an educational publishing and book distribution company. He is the contributing editor to six children's medical care books and is currently on the Board of Trustees of the Fairfield County Chapter of the Leukemia Society of America.
