Overview

For several years, I sat at the feet of Jesus and studied his Word as to why things happen the way they do. I often wondered why he would want to save me. I have often been told by my childhood friend, long before I changed over, that I have a good way of explaining things that I read. So when God gave me an assignment, I was delighted because his Word gave me the true understanding. God's Word brings joy to all who embrace it. The stories that I write are the truths that I learned from his Word. I want others to sit at his feet and learn his way so that they can find the joy I found. Amen

About the Author

Parnell was born in Jefferson County, Alabama, during the 1940s and the era of the civil rights movement. Blacks were struggling to change the culture after slavery in the south. His mother left Alabama, and they moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, in search of freedom. There is where he graduated high school from Howard High in 1958. After graduation, Parnell moved to New York City and blended in with the New Yorkers to find a group of amateur signers and gave it a try. He became friends with The Drifters and helped one of his group members to join them. Parnell played around with music for a few years. He met his first wife in a dance club as he was a good dancer; that’s how he met many women. In fact, that very thing is what caused his divorce from his first wife. God worked hard in his life, getting him to turn from his folly. Parnell had two children with her. He was working in Philadelphia as a manager of building services when he met his second wife, to whom now he is married. God finally convinced him to repent and turn his life over to Him.
