Overview

Elizabeth M. Gingerich was born in 1835 in Juniata County, Pennsylvania. She married Henry Kirkpatrick circa 1855 in Perry County, Pennsylvania. They moved to Callaway County, Missouri after the Civil War, probably with other families from the Juniata-Perry Counties area of Pennsylvania. Although Henry moved his family back to Pennsylvania after Elizabeth's death, and remarried, some of the children continued the western movement. Descendants of this family range from Pennsylvania to Missouri to Washington State and other areas. Some of the names affiliated with the Kirkpatrick group include: Bradley, Cleland, Gingerich, Gutshall, Larson, Morgan, Seal, and Ulrich.
