Overview

The author of this story encapsulates Romelo and his brothers, who are referred to as "the horsemen" journey from his childhood through the passing of a close relative. His father, "Big Wheel". Their relationship has always been one of silence but the strength of the bond between them gets reaffirmed through sickness. Through this experience, Romelo decided to share his personal experiences with readers who face some of the same challenges and experiences. He hopes that his experiences may help others cope and build better relationships by sharing thoughts and expressing feelings with friends and family. There are times when things get tense between families in times of despair. Romelo offers a candid insight of how treacherous people can become to get what they want during trying times. As you peruse the context of this book, I hope that you can apply some of the situations to you your life and find your happy place. In this context you will find love, laughter, anger, peace, and most of all; brotherhood. The horsemen of this story had some unique childhood experiences which shaped their journey through life.

The horsemen grew up in a quiet but energetic town. It was filled with working class people who lived by the old adage; "It takes a village to raise a child." The memories of that town have a lasting effect on anyone that lived there or visited. Anyone who grew up on our block could go to anyone for anything without ever hearing it in the streets. The kids of that town had very creative ideas. Instead of having their parents go to the local stores and purchase things they wanted, they built push go-carts, bicycles, basketball goals just to name a few.
