The Forbidden Valley
"Emily, an orc, was having dreams every night now. The dreams started several weeks ago, each one getting more realistic. But orcs rarely had dreams and when they did, they usually weren't good. In recent days, she had become distant, usually getting lost in her thoughts. She had a feeling that she had to do something, but she wasn't sure what it was. She had two good friends, Sarah, a half-orc and Bret, a human. They were an unusual group that got a lot of stares when they went out in public. Unlike in today's society, where orcs are quite rude, in Emily's day, orcs were very friendly. Emily was one, who would help anyone in need, and she felt that her dreams were telling her that someone needed help."

About the Author

Roger W. Romero was born in the USA and raised in the south end of Seattle, WA. He attended college at Highline Community College, Rick's College (now BYUi) and the University of Montana. He married Connie and moved to Western Montana where he raised six children. He has lived in the heart of the Mission Mountains since the early 90’s. With an interest in Fairytales and Fantasy, he wrote his first short story at the age of ten. In more recent years, he began writing the backstory for a video game two of his sons were creating. While writing these back stories it was suggested that he put them into short stories. The first published works are the short stories in the Fallen Orc Series: The Forbidden Valley, The Pink Pearl, The Family Treasure and The Letter. When not writing you might find him telling stories around a campfire, or working on a project with his family, including five grandchildren.
