Overview

THE FLYING INN is a satirical novel set in a future Great Britain where Islam dominates the political and social life of the country. In addition to depriving the people of many civil and religious freedoms, the Islamic rulers of Britain have also banned the sale and consumption of alcohol. The novel follows the adventures of Humphrey Pump and Captain Patrick Dalroy, who roam the country peddling illicit alcohol in defiance of prohibition.
