“I’m scared.”
“Of what?”
“Going back.”
“Why?” He couldn’t understand how returning home to the family that she so desperately missed could be scary.
“We just spent four months living as adventurers and then as heroes. How can we go back to normal?” He understood that. Going back to being under her parents’ shadow and returning to their routine would be hard on her, but she hadn’t told him everything. The truth of her fear was that she was afraid to lose what she had finally found on their journey: herself.
