Sara Zaske is an American writer who lived in Berlin for six and a half years. Her articles have appeared in the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic.com, and Time.com among other places. In addition to her young adult fantasy novel THE FIRST, she is the author of the book ACHTUNG BABY: AN AMERICAN MOM ON THE GERMAN ART OF RAISING SELF-RELIANT CHILDREN published by Picador in January 2018. She now lives in Idaho with her husband and two children.
