Combining two early demos, 1998's Eye of Horus and 1997's Cemeteral Gardens, as well as a pair of live tracks, The First Damned offers fans a look at the early days of the Polish technical death metal band Decapitated. With a somewhat rawer, less refined approach, the album is definitely something fans of the band will be interested in, providing a window into what sort of sonic destruction they were up to before releasing their debut, Winds of Creation, in 2000.
