About the Author

Hello everyone My name is Malcolm Daniel Sesay, I'm a writer, singer, poet, and newly published Author. I grew up in the city of Philadelphia for the first part of my life. I was the youngest of four children with a wild imagination and a LOVE for the arts and creating. My mother encouraged me to write and dive deeper into my creative side and as a result my writing took a life of it's own. I began to win talent shows, poetry contests as well as Black History Month speaking events. I was later placed in a College Prep English course and my fascination with books grew as we read Beowulf, Fall of The House of Usher, Othello, etc. Virgo Intellect is a small gist of poems from various times in my life. I began writing as a child even writing my own interpretation of the Bible while in Middle School. Writing was a form of escape for me as kid. I could become that strong fearless hero or I could create the perspective of a person living a experience that was nothing in common to my own. So as I began writing more in my adult life I thought why not share my insights, thoughts and dreams with the word.
