About the Author

Irshad Ullah Khan studied at the Government College, Lahore, and won the coveted Rhodes scholarship in 1963 and went to The Queen’s College, Oxford. At Oxford University, he became the first student in its history to have his first play “Rachel and Sapphira” performed at the Oxford Playhouse in the professional season. His “Rachel and Sapphira” shared the professional season with Edward Albee’s “Who is Afraid of Virginia Woolf ”; Jean Racine’s “Phedra”; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Opera “The Magic Flute”; and Christopher Marlowe’s “Dr. Faustus” with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton acting in it. He has written four plays which have been performed internationally and nationally, and twenty six volumes of poetry. His poems have been translated into the Persian, Arabic, French, Russian, and Ukrainian languages.Irshad Ullah Khan, is an Advisory Professor of Tongji University, Shanghai; has served as a Member of the Dean’s Council, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, USA; and has served as Member Advisory Council, Center for the Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease, Harvard School of Public Health, Harvard University USA. He has served as National Trustee, National Symphony Orchestra, USA; and also served as Honorary International Financial Consultant to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Irshad Ullah Khan is a Rotarian.
