The Elf War
Thousands of years in our past Light Elves fled to our world pursued by the Dark Elves. They stayed here until we began to use iron in large quantities. Keeping to the unwritten law that Elves do not harm Elves, they moved on, taking Neanderthal man with them when the Dokka'lfar opened a rift into our world. The Ljo'sa'lfar are pacifists and have managed to evade the Dark Elves who would indulge in their cannibalistic tendencies once they had the Light Elves in their power. Now after thousands of years have gone by the Dokka'lfar have found the Ljo'sa'lfar again, on another parallel Earth. They have been trying to pierce the poisoned brier, grown by the Ljo'sa'lfar for two centuries, inside the great gorge, entrance to the lands of the dinosaurs. At the center of this giant crater are the Ljo'sa'lfar who live inside a castle with small towns spreading down the mountainside. After getting the High King's daughter pregnant, the punishment meted out to an elf called Peterkin sets in motion a chain of events that propels him into the annuls of history. He becomes the legend foretold by a dwarf dreamseer long ago after Abaddon the Dark Lord and his forces killed and ate a thousand dwarves before the brier closed.

About the Author

Barry Woodham spent his working life as a design engineer/draughtsman on the nuclear fusion project and has been an avid reader of science fiction for over fifty years. He found himself with nothing to read one lunchtime and began to write Genesis 2, the saga of the Gnathe.

Many of his colleagues on the project began reading his efforts as quickly as he could finish the new chapters. He was persuaded to carry on and was halfway through the final section when the project drew to a close and he was able to take early retirement before redundancy, through a legacy.

He promised his friends he would continue the story and let them know when he had finished. The joys of early retirement followed - fishing and walking the dogs, and the separation from his old reading colleagues meant the story remained unfinished.

He lost the text through changing computers and it took some effort to retrieve the full story. He knew how Genesis 2 would end, but could never seem to be able to get round to finishing it.

This has now changed and Barry has written the Genesis Project series, which started with Genesis 2, the saga of the Gnathe and now includes Genesis Debt, Genesis Weapon and the final book Genesis 3 is now complete and just published.
In addition to the Genesis Project series Barry has turned his hand to the Fanatasy genre, The Elf War is the result
