About the Author

Nancy McAllister and her first husband spent fourteen years as Baptist missionaries in France and Canada. While in Canada, her husband developed renal failure and they relocated back to the United States where he passed away three and a half years later. They were married for nineteen and a half years and they had two boys. She was a widow for almost nine years when she was blessed with a new husband and moved to North Central Arkansas. Because of their love for missionaries and their families, she and her husband Carroll began a ministry in their home, welcoming missionaries and their families, pastors, and other ministry workers to stay at no charge for as long as they are in the area and in need of a place to rest, vacation, or visit area churches. Besides hosting, she teaches children's classes and ladies' Bible studies, and enjoys writing Christian fiction, ladies' study guides, and children's books. "Gigi", as she is lovingly called by her family, adores spending time with her grandchildren as often as she can. Her "Gigi's Lap" series was written to benefit her grandchildren, setting aside a portion of each sale to be divided among them on an annual basis.
