About the Author

Lisa L. Schoonover is a published author, ESL instructor, educational publishing consultant & curriculum developer, and literacy advocate. A graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, Lisa has over twenty-five years of combined teaching and publishing experience with Houghton Mifflin, Pearson Education, McGraw-Hill, Riverside Publishing, as well as other educational development houses and major publishers across the country. She has been instrumental in implementing pilot reading and writing programs, (including the Headstart and Homeschooling programs), and has been teaching ESL to learners for twenty years. Lisa's passage and item writing work can be found in educational texts and guides nationwide. She has also been an editor for the European and Asian educational markets. Lisa was Assistant Editor of Schoolwisepress in San Francisco, and Science Content Editor for CK-12 in Silicon Valley. Lisa is the originator of Anitya Press, and the creator of the Ancient Tales™ series for children, which has already received high praise for originality in both content and artwork. Lisa is the author of The Indigo Butterfly, and Nepal: The Sacred Treasure.
