Overview

THE DRAGON is the survival story of one young woman who finds martial arts, while learning about the history of her ancient warrior bloodline.

Ryu has lost everything, but she is a survivor. A desperate message from her foster mother in the last moments of her life beg two things of her. First, that she find and protect her foster sister, and the second that she turn to the mysterious teacher, who runs a shelter in the warehouse district, protecting those who can’t protect themselves. Under his tutelage, Ryu learns how to fight, so that when the killers return to finish what they’ve started she’s ready. Ryu is more than they could ever have imagined, or is she? She is the fulfilment of an ancient prophecy about the return of a lost god and a long-dead blood line of warriors. She is the last dragon.

About the Author

Dekker Green spent most of his early life in South Africa, where he witnessed the horrors of apartheid and realized he needed to be the change he wanted to see in the world. He campaigned against injustice for the majority of his youth. He bought the shell of a Ducati Monster in his twenties and rebuilt it before driving it around the world, seeking whatever caught his interest and fired his imagination. He spent the last few years of his twenties in Israel, where he studied the military martial art of Krav Maga under Imi Lichenfeld's tutelage. DRGN has been a ghost since the turn of the millennium, living off the grid and offering his skills to people in need.
