Overview

Jonny is a working-class father with an alcohol problem who could not escape the paranoia of some outside harm afflicting his family, the strife that comes from within his home, notwithstanding. His own reckless wellbeing was not much of a concern ironically but the safety and lives of the reason he has not completely self-destructed... yet, was tantamount to his existence. Despite his good intentions he tends to put himself and his family in situations that risked their lives. Jonny, along with his pugnacious and fiery wife Esther, trains their son Jacob and their daughter Bella in the last resort program that would help to ensure their safety no matter who or what was afflicting them.

When Jonny is shot in the stomach and the family's home is attacked by a vengeful Los Angeles Police Department Detective and the Detective's deranged ex-wife and Jonny's employer, Didion Godam he is forced to institute the last resort in protection for his family, The Dorner Protocol.

How does a father protect his family from the travails of life in a chaotic universe? Self-defense and weapons training? Check. Super advanced, otherworldly technology? Check. Gross and offensive thought that injects his family with a necessary suspicion of everyone regardless of incidental characteristics? Of course! Does it work...?
