About the Author

Dr Controllah Gabi is a Social Sciences Course Leader and Lecturer specialising in Education and Childhood Studies at the University Centre, Trafford College Group. He is also an External Examiner for the University of Chichester. He has recently performed a similar role for the University of Hull. Additionally, he is a Senior Fellow (Advance HE, UK) having met the stringent UK Professional Standards Framework. He has researched and published on dissertation writing, student experience and higher education pastoral support. His current scholarly interests are academic writing and assessment and measurement. Dr Gabi is a member of the British Educational Research Association. Aside from academia, Dr Gabi volunteers for UNICEF as a Children's Campaigner/ Champion.

Dr Josephine Gabi is a Senior Lecturer in Early Years and Childhood Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. Dr Josephine Gabi holds a PhD Education and Social Research; Master of Research, Education and Society (MRes); MA Higher Education; Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP); BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies (Manchester Met. University); CRA & SEDA Personal Tutoring and Academic Advising Professional Qualification and Personnel Management (IPMZ). Dr Josephine Gabi is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and external examiner at Edgehill University for the BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies and Sociology programmes. Dr Josephine Gabi’s research interests are in theories and methodologies in education and social research particularly post-qualitative methodologies.
