Jennifer rode her bicycle from Ireland to Santiago de Compostela, Spain following the medieval pilgrimage route, El Camino de Santiago, in 1982. This was before the infrastructure and yellow guiding arrows were established to help modern pilgrims along the way. While not as rugged as a medieval pilgrim's experience, Jennifer still had trials on the Way. The Pilgrimage and it's life altering effect remained with her upon her return home and through the years. In 2009, Jennifer reviewed her journey using the "relics" from her original trip as touchstones, enabling her to make a meaningful pilgrimage in her backyard. This is the story of both trips, the adventures and learning and most of all the continuing guidance a heartfelt pilgrimage, or even two, can have on daily life.
