Overview

With a wealthy couple on the brink of divorce, they soon find themselves fighting and bickering with one another over money, space, and the right to raise their twelve-year-old daughter. Twelve- year-old Ruby, who is caught in the middle , must make a battle with the devil before she can save the family she loves. After being told the dad she loves has abandoned her, the once loving and cheerful girl's life is quickly turned upside down and begins to fall apart. Her mom, who struggles to find solace with her wayward lifestyle, is soon overtaken by her pain, greed, and her feminine emotions, which ultimately forces her into a life of promiscuity.

Ruby, a witty and sarcastically funny young girl, who is forced to live beyond her years, must draw upon her youthful intellect and the spiritual wisdom of an old Indian lady. To help her make it through, the old lady sends a spirit into the realm of the undead to protect her. After Ruby saves the lives of an innocent family in danger of certain death, she's free to return to her own world. Once she awakes in her bed and see the faces of her parents, she quickly discovers that the deadly nightmare, which she has so desperately been trying to escape, is anything but OVER!

About the Author

Marcus A Allen is author of the novels The Whipping Man, Paganini & The Curse of the Trumpet, and The Corporate Genius. He is also the author of the controversial nonfiction books, The Impossible Way, and Pain A Force of Nature (18 Ways to Overcome Mental & Emotional Pain). Mr. Allen is an honor graduate from Northwood University. He is also an international martial arts champion in Tae Kwon Do. He served 12 years in the U.S. Army, where he successfully participated in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.

After leaving the military Mr. Allen performed as the principal trumpet player with the DWSO (Detroit Wind Symphony Orchestra). He is accomplished jazz recording artist. He has performed with many artists in the music industry; such Al Green, The Dramatics, Marcus Belgrave, James Carter, Dwight Adams and many others.
